Syzygium Assamicum
Syzygium assamicum is a rare and lesser-known species of the Myrtaceae family native to the northeastern regions of India. This small evergreen tree is characterized by its glossy dark green leaves and fragrant white flowers that bloom during the summer months. It is often found in moist, shaded environments and thrives in the undergrowth of tropical and subtropical forests. Due to its limited distribution and habitat specificity, it is considered vulnerable to environmental changes and deforestation. Despite its ecological importance, Syzygium assamicum remains under-researched and largely overlooked in botanical studies.
