Sequoiadendron Giganteum
The sequoia giant, or sequoiadendron giganteum, is one of the tallest and oldest living trees on earth. Native to the Sierra Nevada mountains in California, it thrives in cool, moist climates with abundant rainfall. These trees can live for thousands of years and reach heights of over 300 feet. Their massive trunks and thick bark make them highly resistant to fire and disease. Known as the giant sequoia, they are a symbol of resilience and natural grandeur.
