Erechtites Argutus
Erechtites leaf, scientifically known as Erechtites argutus, is a striking member of the Asteraceae family native to the eastern United States. This perennial plant is recognized for its large, heart-shaped leaves that are often covered in fine hairs, giving it a distinctive appearance. It thrives in moist, shady environments and is commonly found in woodlands and along stream banks. The plant produces showy yellow flowers in the summer, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Despite its ornamental value, Erechtites argutus can become invasive in certain regions if not managed properly.
