Cyphostemma Cabui

Cape gooseberry, scientifically known as Cyphostemma cabui, is a unique and resilient plant native to parts of southern Africa. It belongs to the Apocynaceae family and is recognized for its striking appearance and ecological importance. The plant features thick, waxy leaves and produces small, orange berries that are both ornamental and edible. Despite its common name, it is not related to the true gooseberries or the cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana). This plant thrives in arid and semi-arid environments, making it a valuable addition to xeriscaped gardens and natural landscapes.
